OrderWise CEO Named Entrepreneur of the Year
David Hallam, founder and CEO of software specialist OrderWise, has been named Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year in the 2019 Natwest Great British Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for the Midlands.
The Natwest Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the stories that have taken entrepreneurs in the UK to where they are today, regardless of the size or turnover of their business.
The 2019 Midlands regional final took place at the Glee Club in Birmingham last Wednesday, where over 93 finalists from across the region gathered to celebrate those that had been shortlisted in 12 different categories.
David Hallam said: “I’m honoured to have been crowned as the Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards! There were thousands of entries and to have even been shortlisted was a great achievement – but to now come away with an award is just phenomenal!
“The UK has so many fantastic businesses which come in all different sizes across a range of sectors – and I’m delighted that my name has been recognised amongst those.
“I wouldn’t have been able to build my company to where it is now without the help of the dedicated and hard-working team around me. Congratulations to all the regional finalists and everybody that has been shortlisted for an award. I’m looking forward to heading down to London in a couple of months for the national final – and hopefully bringing back another trophy for our cabinet!”
Francesca James, founder of the Natwest Great British Entrepreneur Awards, said: “Every winner has different reasons for starting their business, but all are just as inspiring as each other. Seeing what it means to them as they collect their award is incredibly moving and drives us to keep doing what we’re doing by celebrating and supporting these amazing people.”
The winners of each category from the regional finals will now go to the national final of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards which will take place in London in November.
