Beatson Clark

Beatson Clark is a glass packaging manufacturer based in Rotherham supplying high-quality glass packaging to businesses in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors, including Hendrick’s Gin, Gaviscon and Tynt Meadow Trappist ale.

We have worked alongside Beatson Clark to support their marketing since 2011. Our services include SEO (search engine optimisation), news releases, social media, copywriting, media buying and video production. Results:

Micrometric

Micrometric Ltd is a laser processing components manufacturer based in Lincoln. They supply parts and small precision components for a range of businesses in various sectors. Since taking on Micrometric Ltd as a client back in 2019, we have made some significant improvements to their social platforms and brand awareness online. Our marketing efforts, over the years, have generated real leads for Micrometric and have led to an increase in turnover from their online channels. 

We have helped Micrometric raise its profile through PR and media relations, building a new website, social media including LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook and event management.  

Results:

  • We secured 14 pieces of media coverage promoting the company’s 40th anniversary including Med-Tech Innovation News, Manufacturing and Engineering Magazine (MEM) and Racecar Engineering with a reach of over 100K 
  • Since 2021 we’ve increased followers on LinkedIn by 171%

APSS

APSS provides commercial interior design services to businesses across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, medical/healthcare, manufacturing and education. 

Initially, we undertook an audit of current marketing and social media channels to find out what’s working well as well as areas for improvement. Based on the results of the audit we created a 12-month strategy and plan. 

We continue to provide PR and marketing support to APSS including news releases, media relations, case studies, social media management, copywriting and media buying to help them raise their profile and increase sales in their key sectors.  

Results:

  • We secured 36 pieces of media coverage with a reach of over 350K across East Midlands business and key sector media in the first year.

Coveris

Coveris is a leading European packaging company that manufactures flexible and sustainable packaging for some of the world’s most respected brands.  

Coveris approached Shooting Star for employer branding to help enhance its presence locally as both a manufacturer and employer of choice. Many of the roles that needed to be filled at Coveris were temporary factory-floor workers.   

To achieve these objectives, Shooting Star mapped out a six-month strategic campaign plan which followed the marketing funnel from awareness through to conversion. 

We also produced engaging videos for social media; conducted keyword research and created effective Google PPC ads and social media ads; secured PR coverage; wrote staff case studies for the website and social media; and managed a strategic outdoor advertising campaign. 

Results: 

  • Job applications totalled 1,701 – applications pre-campaign averaged 249 a month, rising to over 483 a month by the end of the campaign 
  • Website visits totalled 13,515 specifically to the UK careers pages 
  • The recruitment video reached over 85,700 people 
  • Press coverage achieved a reach of 42,300 
  • Facebook ads achieved a reach of 85,758 
  • Outdoor ads achieved a reach of 66,049 
  • Google PPC ads achieved 4,575 clicks
