If you’re looking for something really wild to do with the kids during the summer break, Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill, Somerset, has just the thing!

Nick Wadham’s popular Wild and Deadly show will return to Secret World for the summer, giving children of all ages and their parents a chance to get up close and personal with insects and reptiles at the rescue centre.

Nick Wadham, creator and presenter of The Wild and Deadly Show, will present his live nature stage show every Wednesday throughout the summer holidays from 26^th July. In between performances, visitors who want to (or dare to!) will have the opportunity to handle many of the creatures involved.

There will also be birds of prey on display, children’s activities, food and refreshments as well as educational and fun talks for all the family. Everyone – even the squeamish – will be catered for.

On Wild and Deadly Wednesdays, Secret World will be open from 10.00 am to 4.00pm. Entry is just £4 per adult and £2 per child, payable on the door. Car parking is free.

Nick will also be helping people to overcome their animal-related fears and phobias with Face your Fears Fridays during August. Each two-hour session will delve into your subconscious giving you the opportunity to embark on a fast-track phobia fight. Nick will try to help you discover the cause of your fear, beat it and control it.

Face your Fears Fridays are for over 18s only. Each session can be booked in advance at www.secretworld.org with two sessions available each day, from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm. The cost per session is £40 per person and includes free family admission so why not bring a picnic to enjoy in our Bluebell garden and find out more about the work of Secret World?
