Six brave men and women from OrderWise are set to get dragged through the mud in one of the UK’s toughest obstacle courses, in a bid to raise money for charity.

The ‘Curlo’s Heroes’ Simon Flood, Lou Viner, Phil Curling, Carl Newboult, Denise Ward and Jordan Parker will head to Broughton Hall in Skipton, North Yorkshire, this weekend (28th July) before sliding their way through the Tough Mudder Half obstacle course.

The team began training three months ago in preparation for the mud-drenched obstacles and adrenaline-pumping challenges, specifically designed to test teamwork and toughness.

Carl Newboult, one of six OrderWise staff taking part, said: “The Tough Mudder Half isn’t a race, it’s a challenge!

“At OrderWise we’re really good at working together as a team and supporting each other so we wanted to show that off in an event for charity. We also wanted to make sure it was something fun and the Tough Mudder Half just seemed perfect.

“We have decided to raise money for five fantastic charities: Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Cancer Research UK, Mind, MS Society and Lincolnshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group.”

The team is currently a quarter of the way to achieving its fundraising target of £1,250.

Director at OrderWise David Hallam said: “We’re always looking at ways to support local charities at OrderWise and the team taking part in this challenge will certainly have their work cut out. I’d urge everyone to donate what they can and hopefully that will mean we smash our target!”
