Prestigious Startup Award for Lincoln Logistics Specialists

Celebrations lasted long into the night as Lincoln-based vehicle specialist VisionDrive took home the Startup Business of the Year title at the Lincolnshire Media Business Awards yesterday (Tuesday).

Facing stiff competition from across the county, the company exceeded expectations by bagging the award after just 14 months in business.

VisionDrive, the brainchild of directors Ian Smith and Jack Davies, was founded in August 2016 and operates a vehicle transportation fleet specialising in single vehicle movements. The pair were handed their award by host Lloyd Griffith at a sparkling ceremony at the EPIC Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground.

Ian said: “We are over the moon to have won this award. Just over a year ago, we set up the business and we cannot believe how far we’ve come. This award represents the hard work of our team both on the road and in the office and we can’t wait to see where the next few years take us.

“This was a real shot in the arm for the business and makes us even more determined to succeed. We’re constantly growing, with plans to expand our fleet and staff over the coming year.”

The judges of the award, which was sponsored by Bishop Grosseteste University, said: “Ian and Jack spotted an opportunity to do things differently through excellent customer service and communication.”

VisionDrive is recruiting new drivers at present. To find out more about the company, visit the website: www.visiondrive.co.uk
