Shooting Star Charity of the Year Applications Now Open
Award-winning PR, marketing and digital agency Shooting Star is searching for its next charity to support in 2024.
Every year the agency offers a year of free PR and marketing services to help its Charity of the Year build awareness and raise its profile. The charity also benefits from Shooting Star’s fundraising efforts, including its annual charity Chippy Quiz which this year raised £1,433.
Kate Strawson, a Director at Shooting Star, said: “It is very important to us to give something back to our community, and our Charity of the Year project is just one initiative in helping us to achieve this mission.
“Since 2009 we have supported a range of charities and not-for-profit organisations, from groups that help disadvantaged children to mental health support and suicide prevention. We have achieved some fantastic results, including a feature in New York Times magazine which led to a donation from Daniel Craig.”
This year Shooting Star adopted BRIC (Building Resilience in Communities), a charity that supports vulnerable children and their families across Lincolnshire. BRIC works closely with the local community, schools and service providers to support children and their families after dealing with issues such as illness, disability, abuse and isolation.
“Shooting Star’s generous support means the world to us, and we are truly honoured to have the opportunity to collaborate with their talented and dedicated team, said Kerrylyne Gooderham, Chief Executive of BRIC.
“Their commitment to work with BRIC on a pro bono basis, providing PR, marketing and website support throughout the year, speaks volumes about their dedication to making a positive impact in the community.
“We also extend our heartfelt appreciation for planning and organising the annual Chippy Quiz to raise funds for our charity. Their initiative demonstrates not only their professional expertise but also their genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of those we serve.”
If you know of a charity or not-for-profit organisation that could benefit from our help, you can apply now to be Shooting Star’s charity of the year. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 15th December 2023.
