Tax is Going Digital – Are You Ready?
Is your business prepared for tax digitalisation? A leading law firm and a firm of accountants have joined forces to ensure businesses are ready and compliant ahead of the new changes.
Andrew & Co Solicitors, based in Lincoln and Newark, is hosting the event with chartered accountants Wright Vigar for businesses in the Newark area to find out more about the major changes being made to the tax system.
The landmark shift to a digital tax system, due to come into force in April 2019, is set to impact all VAT-registered businesses and is expected to be the biggest overhaul of the system for decades.
The free event is being put on to ensure businesses leaders are prepared and complaint before the changes are enacted into law.
One of the changes will make it a requirement for all VAT-registered companies to keep digital records for VAT purposes and provide tax returns to Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs using new software.
As well as in-depth analysis on the latest changes to the tax system, delegates can also expect updates on the legal hot topics facing businesses.
Paul Simpson, Head of Corporate and Commercial at Andrew & Co Solicitors, commented: “As Parliament returns in September and with Brexit set to change the legal landscape, it’s more important than ever for businesses to stay informed, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises which have fewer resources than large corporates.
“I’m confident that delegates will find our presentations informative and helpful. Everyone is welcome.”

“The overhaul of the VAT system will impact on millions of businesses so it’s critical they are prepared well in advance of next year. It’s set to be a great and informative event.”
