Win a Nintendo 2DS at Ethan’s This Half Term!

Children dining at Ethan’s Steakhouse and Sushi Bar in Lincoln during the half term holidays are being invited to put their artistic skills to the test.

Ethan’s, which is inside Damon’s Restaurant on Doddington Road, is launching a Japanese-themed colouring competition on Friday 26th May. The winner will receive a Nintendo 2DS while the runner-up will win a virtual reality experience for up to four people at Tension VR in Lincoln.

Director Stuart Carey said: “We are proud to be a family-friendly restaurant and we have developed a menu specially with our younger guests in mind. I am a father of two myself so I know how difficult it can be finding somewhere which is both child-friendly and serves healthy, tasty and nutritious food.

“We have 12 dishes to choose from on our Junior Menu including sirloin steak, king prawns, salmon and chicken all cooked fresh to order on our teppanyaki grill as well as favourites such as fish fingers, pizza and sausages.

“As well as an extensive menu children aged 12 and under eat free from Monday to Saturday between 12 noon and 6pm so it’s the perfect half term treat and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg!”

This is the second time the restaurant has run a children’s colouring competition during the school holidays. The winners of the first competition during the Easter half term were Jack Sherwood from Scunthorpe and six-year-old Myra Oke from North Hykeham near Lincoln.

Jack’s mum Emma Watts said they couldn’t believe it when they heard the seven-year-old had won.

“We were so delighted when we heard the news as he’s never won anything before,” said Emma. “He had a Nintendo but it stopped working so it was perfect timing. Jack loves drawing and colouring pictures for his grandma and when we visited Ethan’s for lunch he spotted the competition straight away. I’m so proud of how well he’s done.”

Myra’s mum Amy added: “This is the first competition she’s entered so we’re delighted she has come second. She enjoys making things such as greetings cards and recently designed a gymnastics leotard.

“We come to Damon’s on a regular basis but thought we’d give Ethan’s a try. The food was amazing and the competition is a great way of keeping the kids entertained.”

The competition is open to under 12s dining in the restaurant from Friday 26th May until midnight on Monday 5th June 2017 and the winners will be announced on Friday 9th June.
