Family Fun Day Out for Charity
Feeling sporty? Why not dust off your trainers and take part in a sports day event at Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough on Wednesday 26th July?
Snap Fitness Gainsborough, a gym located at Marshall’s Yard, has chosen two charities to support this year: BRIC (Building Resilience in Communities) and Jerry Green Dog Rescue.
BRIC provides emotional support and practical help to children and their families in Lincolnshire.
Jerry Green Dog Rescue provides a safe place for homeless dogs and seeks new loving places for them to live. It pioneers and provide the highest standards of welfare for the dogs in its care.
The sports day is being hosted by the gym and will raise money for both charities.
Activities on the day will include traditional sports day games as well as fitness challenges that everyone is welcome to take part in.
Alongside the sports events, there will be arts and crafts, face painting, a plant swap and charity stalls with prizes to be won.
Laura Markham, Club Manager at Snap Fitness Gainsborough, said: “We selected BRIC and Jerry Green Dog Rescue as our chosen charities this year in order to support two local charities who are both doing amazing things for the local community.
“The sports day event is a chance for members of the public to get involved and have some fun participating in classic sports day challenges as well as other fitness events run by our very own personal training team.
“Our aim is to create a fun-filled day for all while raising some money for two great causes. Come along and get involved and see whether or not you can still absolutely nail the egg and spoon race!”
Kamila Zolotar, Community Engagement Manager at BRIC, said: “We are grateful to Snap Fitness Gainsborough for supporting us and hosting this exciting event.
“On the day there will be the chance to meet some of our team and talk to us about volunteering opportunities as well as a range of activities to take part in and prizes to win so we hope to see you there!”
Melissa Cutforth, Assistant Manager at Marshall’s Yard, said: “We are delighted to have such a great fundraising event taking place at the shopping centre for two amazing charities.
“It’s great to see two of our tenants and a local charity come together to put on an exciting event our shoppers can really get involved with!”
The event is taking place on Wednesday 26th July from 10am to 4pm at Marshall’s Yard, Gainsborough and is open to the public.
