Celebrate Christmas at SouthSide!
Christmas is coming, and there’s a variety of festive events planned during the lead-up to the big day at SouthSide.
Formerly St Katherine’s Church in Lincoln, Southside is dedicated to bringing music, events, and community activities to the south of the city. Having been open to the public since autumn, the venue is hosting a series of festive community events during the run-up to Christmas.
Kicking off the festivities is a wreath making workshop on Tuesday 6th December, which offers the chance to make your own Christmas wreath accompanied by a glass of fizz and mince pies aplenty.
Taking place on Tuesday 13th December is a Christmas singalong for all the family, led by Lincoln Chorale. It’s a chance to join in the singing and get into the Christmas mood with mince pies and mulled wine in the interval.
Finally, to round off the festivities, GoGro CIC, with MasterChef finalist Eamonn Hunt at the helm, are joining SouthSide for the venue’s A Very Tuscan Christmas event.
On Friday 16th December you can enjoy a complimentary welcome cocktail and an authentic Tuscan buffet created by the GoGro team, accompanied by sophisticated jazz. After eating, get your dancing shoes on and celebrate the joys of Christmas past with a retro disco.
“We are excited to be hosting these creative events for the Lincoln community, allowing people to come together and do something unique to celebrate Christmas,” said Colin Webb, owner of SouthSide.
“These are inclusive events, everybody’s welcome, and we encourage anyone to come and join in – give them a go!”
Alongside these festive events, SouthSide’s popular Commuter Jazz series celebrates with its own party on Friday 9th December with Lincoln’s popular gypsy jazz group, Djanco.
