Life Drawing Classes with a Difference!
If you’re a budding artist but you’ve never tried life drawing, a new regular event at Southside in Lincoln may be the perfect opportunity!
Tom Humby will host the first in a series of life drawing sessions on Tuesday 25th April at Lincoln’s newest arts and events venue, formerly St Katherine’s Church and the Priory Centre.
The sessions will feature a model in short poses (between two and 15 minutes) and there will be music and a bar to ensure a relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere.
Artists of all abilities are welcome and some drawing materials will be provided, but those attending are encouraged to bring their own preferred mediums if they have it.
Tom Humby is a Lincoln-based artist and illustrator who runs FourOfWandsStudios and whose work can be found on Etsy.
The theme of the first session will be ‘Think, relax and draw’, and the theme will change from month to month.
“We’re very excited to bring a new style of life drawing to Lincoln – a different theme every month with music playing and a fully stocked bar!” said Emily Nichol, Operations Director at Southside.
“Whether you’re a seasoned artist or new to the sketch pad, everybody is welcome to join in. After a drink or two, the art will get a little abstract anyway!”
The first life drawing session takes place from 7pm until 9pm on Tuesday 25th April. Tickets cost £8 / £6 concessions and can be bought via Southside’s website: https://www.southsidelincs.com/.
