New Menu Raises the ‘Steaks’ at Ethan’s

Lincoln’s Japanese steakhouse and sushi bar has launched a new and improved menu with more international choice and mouth-watering offers, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Ethan’s Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, which opened last year next door to Damon’s Restaurant on Doddington Road, serves freshly-prepared sushi and teppanyaki dishes which are cooked in front of diners at their table by specially trained chefs.

Now, visitors can choose from a greater variety of dishes on both the teppanyaki and sushi menus incorporating a wider range of ingredients including the finest duck, chicken, steak, lobster, tuna and king prawns.

Children are also well catered for and can choose from 12 different main courses on the new junior menu design to suit even the fussiest of eaters. What is more kids aged 12 and under can eat for free from Monday to Saturday between 12 noon and 6pm! *

Director Stuart Carey, said: “We have employed a sushi expert to help us get our dishes just right and we’re confident that we have the best sushi menu in the whole of the East Midlands not just in terms of choice and quality but value for money too.

“We’ve had a great response from customers so far and we’re now looking forward launching our new teppanyaki menu. We’ve increased the number of starters from five to 11 and the number of mains from 11 to 36. This is no mean feat given that we’ve improved the quality of the ingredients and the speed at which the food is prepared at the table too!”

The new look sushi menu has been created by sushi chef and Japanese food enthusiast Agnes Sliwinska.

“I love sushi as it’s so healthy and a great source of vitamins and minerals including omega-3 and omega-6,” explained Agnes. “We use fresh, high-quality ingredients like ginger, wasabi, avocado, crab, tuna, salmon and sea bass to make our dishes which are tailored for European tastes. Ninety per cent of the menu is also gluten free, even down to the bottles of soy sauce we provide on the tables!”

Stuart added: “We’re committed to using the best possible ingredients in both Ethan’s and our sister restaurant Damon’s and we’ve worked really hard with our chefs to create something we’re extremely proud of.

“We are a family restaurant and younger diners are just as important to us which is why we’ve improved our junior menu too. As well as being able to try new things like Yakitori chicken skewers and king prawns with butter and lemon or garlic they can enjoy traditional classics like 100 per cent cod fish fingers, pizza and hot dogs if they aren’t feeling adventurous.

“We’re confident people will love the menus and I can’t wait to serve up an even better standard of Japanese and international cuisine to the people of Lincolnshire.”
