Shooting Star’s approach was to first undertake an audit of the PR and marketing activity to fully understand the brand. We then created a strategic marketing and communications plan with key activities over a 12-month period.
We helped Micrometric to raise its profile through PR support, project managing the build of a new website, setting up social channels including LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, content creation and using its 40th anniversary year as a platform to secure features in sector media and amplify key messages.
We continue to work closely with Micrometric as an extension of its team to manage the social media channels, develop creative content including video, plan and activate paid media campaigns to drive traffic to the website, issue news releases, pitch news stories to journalists, write features and blogs, organise regular customer newsletters and support with event management. As part of its CSR strategy for the past few years Micrometric has sponsored the annual Shooting Star Chippy Quiz which supports local charities.
