Shooting Star Receives Community Award
During YMCA Lincolnshire’s fourth annual celebratory awards ceremony on Monday 28th September, we were delighted to be recognised with a Contribution to the Community award.
In January 2015 we announced YMCA Lincolnshire as our charity of the year and have spent the last nine months providing PR advice and support to the charity on a pro bono basis.
Malcolm Barham, Chief Executive of Lincolnshire YMCA, publicly thanked Shooting Star for its efforts and encouraged other businesses to follow our lead before presenting our directors Kate and Jez with an award and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
It was a privilege to stand alongside other award winners and nominees, made up of the charity’s volunteers and staff, whose dedication and passion are the driving force behind the delivery of the excellent projects, activities and services YMCA Lincolnshire provides.
As the year draws to an end we’re looking forward to helping the charity celebrate more success stories, as well as searching for our 2016 charity of the year.
