The Return of Quiz, Chips & Mushy Peas!
If you missed your calling to become the BBC’s newest Egghead, don’t worry – our popular chippy quiz night is back to help you showcase your general knowledge skills.
As part of the support for our charity of the year we organise a quiz night with a difference, and the aptly-named Quiz, Chips & Mushy Peas returns to The Elite Fish & Chip Company restaurant on Tritton Road in Lincoln on Monday 21st November.
Since 2013 we’ve raised over £2,500 for charity during our chippy quiz night and this year we’ll be fundraising for Every-One (formerly the Lincolnshire Carers and Young Carers Partnership).
Every-One, based in Wellingore, Lincoln, signposts people of all ages who provide unpaid care to essential information and support while also representing the voice of carers through a range of projects and initiatives.
Earlier in the year, to mark our 10th anniversary, the Shooting Star team took on a marathon challenge and we’ve already raised over £550 for Every-One. We’re looking forward to topping up the coffers and hosting another great event, which takes place from 6.30pm.
The quiz is open to teams of four and individuals and costs £15 per person which includes a fish and chip supper with mushy peas and bread and butter. As well as a prize for the overall winner there’ll also be the opportunity to win big in the raffle!
