Welcome to Our Rising Star Intern!

This week we welcome Nikhita Keshwara who joins us as our latest Rising Star Intern!

Nikhita is a broadcast journalism graduate from Nottingham Trent University and will be working with us for three months.

During her time with us, Nikhita will be assisting with a range of PR and marketing tasks. She’ll be getting stuck in to writing press releases, liaising with journalists and updating social media accounts as well as building up our client lists.

Since we launched our Rising Star internship scheme in 2010 all six interns have secured jobs in the industry, and two have secured a full-time role at Shooting Star.

Nikhita, said: “I’m really excited to have been given this opportunity, which will allow me to learn unique skills from an experienced team. This will help me to progress my career towards my passion, which is food and drink PR.”

Nikhita managed to squeeze in work experience during her degree, including a stint at Siren FM. She says she had her interest in PR sparked after writing news releases and managing the station’s social media at the Lincolnshire Show.

In her spare time, Nikhita enjoys reading healthy food blogs and keeping fit by going to the gym.
