With the arrival of spring comes the addition of several new features to refresh our Lincoln office, which has been our agency’s base since 2012.
We’ve made a few changes over the last couple of years, including adding desks and installing a new carpet, but recently decided to step it up a gear and prioritise the office makeover.
The whole team agrees that it’s important to feel relaxed and comfortable in your place of work, so it’s been a joint effort.
Account Manager Mike has become our unofficial office gardener by taking responsibility for the plants; he’s introduced some new and exotic greenery and has drawn up a detailed maintenance plan to ensure it’s always looked after.
We’ve also adopted a beautiful amaryllis originally belonging to Marketing Manager Sharon, which adds a splash of colour to the front section of the office.
Meanwhile, Account Executive Zoe was tasked with finding a new way of storing our coats and bags etc. The Shooting Star team has grown considerably since we bought our coat stand, which has seen better days, so we needed something that will stand the test of time.
After a team vote, we bought some colourful new hooks: a funky set designed to look like men climbing the wall, plus some pegs reminiscent of those we had at primary school.
We also wanted to introduce elements that would show off our personality and help visitors feel welcome. That’s how we ended up with a funky blackboard-style mural on the wall opposite our office entrance, so it’s one of the first things you see when you enter.
Thank you to the lovely Marie from Made By Mee for dedicating one of her Sundays to creating this work of art.
We also said good riddance to our worn out old vertical blinds and replaced them with some tasteful roller blinds courtesy of Steve from Annabels Blinds Lincoln.
The Shooting Star office makeover is a work in progress but we want to know what you think to our hard work so far! Let us know if you’ve been to see us recently, or feel free to pop in and check it out for yourself – we promise to stick the kettle on!
