Now it’s Official!

Friday in the Shooting Star PR office was spent looking forward to what was sure to be a great evening ahead at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln official launch party and kicking off the weekend in style!

More than 150 people turned out to celebrate at the stylish new DoubleTree by Hilton on the Brayford that night – everyone came suitably dressed for a black tie occasion so we knew it was going to be a fabulous evening.

As soon as we stepped in to the glass-fronted lobby we were greeted by a champagne reception and the delightful sounds of pianist Adam Pond which created a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere in which to mingle with fellow guests.

After a short while we were asked to make our way up to the fifth floor and to take our seats for dinner in the rooftop ballroom which was dressed beautifully for the occasion. It’s a great setting with stunning views up to the Cathedral and the surrounding area of uphill Lincoln.

Once everyone had found their tables we were presented with a four-course meal. The food was of excellent quality, as we have come to expect from this venue, and the fudge squares that came with the coffee were a very tasty surprise! We were seated at a table with a variety of guests which made for a very pleasant evening.

Our exquisitely prepared dinner was rounded off with a number of entertaining speeches and everyone raised a glass to toast the hotel’s success.

Then… the musicians took the stage: seven-piece band Beat Street International got everyone up and dancing straight away, performing a variety of musical styles to please guests of all ages –from disco classics by Aretha Franklin to modern-day pop hits from Maroon 5.

An excellent night was had by all and we’re looking forward to going back to the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln very soon for another unforgettable event! AO
