We’re excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for two prestigious awards!
We’ve been nominated in the Public Sector category of the Midlands PRCA DARE Awards for our work with Lincolnshire Wolds, promoting them as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We’ve been working with East Lindsey District Council since 2017, encouraging tourism in the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB and have consistently met and exceeded our key performance targets.
Shooting Star could also be crowned Small Business of the Year at the 2019 Lincolnshire Technology and Innovation Awards in June.
Shooting Star was set up by directors Kate Strawson and Jez Ashberry in 2006 as Lincoln’s first dedicated PR agency. Since then we have expanded our service offering to include marketing and digital, to adapt to a changing industry.
Our team has expanded too: there are currently nine of us who work with both public and private sector clients from our two bases in Lincoln and Newark. That figure is set to increase to 10 when we take on our next Rising Star intern this summer.
We feel very fortunate that Shooting Star has grown steadily over the years and is thriving in an increasingly competitive market. It would be fantastic for our hard work to be celebrated among our peers and to add another award or two to our shelf!
It’s not long before we get to find out our fate as the fifth annual Lincolnshire Technology and Innovation Awards – designed to recognise and reward Lincolnshire’s use of innovative and creative technology – take place at the Lincolnshire Showground on Thursday 13th June.
Then on Wednesday 3rd July we will be heading to the PRCA DARE Awards for the Midlands, which highlights and rewards the best PR and communications professionals in the region.
We’ve got our fingers crossed for at least one win, but even if we’re unsuccessful this time we’re just happy to have had our recent achievements recognised; being shortlisted is enough to spur us on for what’s set to be another busy year for our agency!
