As a result of the pandemic this year, we were sadly unable to host our annual Quiz, Chips & Mushy Peas night to raise funds for our 13th Charity of the Year, the Bearded Fishermen.
Instead, last month we launched our Shooting Star #FuelUp campaign in support of the Bearded Fishermen’s goal to purchase a second food delivery van.
To raise funds, as many of us are working from home for the foreseeable future, we’ve been asking people to give generously and donate the money they would normally spend on their regular cappuccino, office lunch or commute to work to our campaign.
Alongside this campaign, to further extend our fundraising efforts during what has been a very challenging year, the team have decided to attempt to bring some smiles to people’s faces and take part in a series of challenges chosen and assigned to us by you (in return for a donation)!
If you’re looking to do your bit for charity before the year is over, you can sponsor and assign a challenge to a member of our team from our Challenge the Stars price list. That individual team member will have 48 hours (we’ll be timing them!) to complete the challenge for our charity – which will be documented on our social media channels.
All the funds raised throughout this campaign will go towards not only a second food delivery van, but will contribute to supporting better mental health and will help fund the vital services that offer essential support to those who need it the most.
