Introducing New Client Coveris

The start of a new year always brings a flurry of new clients and we’re pleased to say that, despite the recent challenges we and many others have faced owing to the pandemic, 2022 has proved no different. Among those to come on board is leading European packaging firm Coveris which has appointed Shooting Star to support its ongoing recruitment efforts focusing initially on attracting talented recruits to work at its sites in St Neots and Wisbech.

Following the impact of Brexit and Covid on the UK labour market, companies are finding it increasingly hard to fill vacancies and are looking to PR and marketing professionals to help improve their employer brand. Having a strong employer brand can help organisations differentiate themselves in the labour market, compete for the best talent and gain credibility.

Although Coveris is a major player in the packaging world, having grown rapidly through a series of mergers and acquisitions, its global brand is less well known in the local areas it operates in.

Shooting Star has been brought in to raise the profile of the business in the UK and position it as an employer of choice by promoting its values, culture and the actual experiences of the people who work there. We’re excited to be working with such a fast-growing business which is leading the way in the packaging industry, not only in terms of innovation but also sustainability.

With plastic packaging having come under intense scrutiny in recent years, particularly the issue of waste, Coveris is tackling this head on through its ‘No Waste’ strategy.

Like Coveris we take our environmental impact very seriously and are always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint, so it’s great to be joining forces with a company that shares our values.
