Here at Shooting Star PR we believe in giving something back to the local community, so each year we provide free advice and expertise to a charity or non-profit organisation which would not otherwise be able to afford ongoing PR.
We’re currently looking for a registered charity to become our Charity of the Year for 2013. We’d love to hear from Lincolnshire charities that could benefit from PR services including news releases, social media, feature writing, crisis management and media monitoring.
Given the sporting theme of 2012 our adopted charity last year was the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, whose Chief Executive Janet Inman commented: “Being selected as Shooting Star PR’s Charity of the Year 2012 was fantastic. The media training that the team provided for our staff and the cutting services we utilised for monitoring our press activity really helped in a busy and successful year for sport.
“Members of the team at Shooting Star PR were always on the other end of the phone if needed and truly supported us with our various projects and events.”
We started choosing a Charity of the Year in 2009 when we supported Strut in the Community (now KIDS Strut). The organisation offers support to children with physical and mental disabilities as well as their parents and carers. In 2010 we worked with Lincoln Women’s Aid which helps abused women find a better life, and our choice in 2011 was Lincolnshire cancer charity Candles, which funds research into the disease at Lincoln County Hospital.
If you are involved with a charity which you think would benefit from working with Shooting Star PR please send an email to email@example.com explaining why you think you should be our Charity of the Year for 2013.
