We’re Running the Lincoln 10K!
The Lincoln 10K is just around the corner and we’re getting ourselves ready to pound the tarmac in the name of charity!
This Sunday (6th April) Kate, Shey and Sarah will be on the starting line and squeezing in a few last-minute stretches as they get ready to run in support of our charity of the year, The Ethan Maull ‘Up Yours To Cancer!’ Foundation.
In December
2012 Ethan, then eight years old, was diagnosed with a rare form of children’s bone cancer called osteosarcoma. In August last year Ethan and his family set up the charity to raise awareness of the condition
and help others facing a similar situation.
The charity provides toys for the children on the E39 Ward at Nottingham Children’s Hospital where Ethan receives care. The foundation is also raising funds to buy a property to accommodate families while their children undergo extensive treatment. The property is to be called Ethan’s House and it is hoped it will be located near the hospital.
So far the charity has raised over £60,000, but it still needs thousands more to reach its target!
