The Royals and their PR stunts
From tea with Paddington to jumping out of a helicopter with 007, Queen Elizabeth II was a big fan of PR stunts.
Let me remind you of the most exciting mic drop to date. Queen Elizabeth II starred alongside Prince Harry and the Obamas in an advert for the 2016 Invictus Games.
The Royals are seen reading a brochure and having a pleasant conversation when they are interrupted by a message from FLOTUS (First Lady of the United States).
Michelle Obama is accompanied by the former President of the United States, Barack Obama, telling the Royals to “Be careful what you wish for”.
Queen Elizabeth II got viewers laughing with her short and sweet response “Oh, please,” followed by Prince Harry’s perfect mic drop. “Boom!”
The Royal Family uploaded this video to their YouTube channel, captioned with:
Wow some Invictus Games 2016 fighting talk from Michelle Obama and Barack Obama!
You can dish it out, but can you take it?
Unfortunately for you I wasn’t alone when you sent me that video…
– Prince Harry
Queen Elizabeth II was a force to be reckoned with.
My personal favourite stars the biggest marmalade sandwich fan, Paddington Bear.
In honour of the Platinum Jubilee, the Royal Family released a two-and-a-half-minute ad of afternoon tea with the Queen and Paddington.
The famous bear arrived at the palace in his usual attire and broke the silence by gulping his tea (what a Brit). The pair sat awkwardly before Paddington reached for his emergency sandwich hidden under his iconic red hat.
The Queen followed the gesture by showing Paddington she too keeps an emergency marmalade sandwich in her handbag.
One of Her Majesty’s most fabulous stunts was the impressive skydive directly into the Olympic Stadium. Accompanied by James Bond (Daniel Craig), Queen Elizabeth II shocked everyone by appearing in the funny sketch.
Although it was the Queen’s stunt double, the Royal Family had no idea she was taking part in the advert, apart from her beloved Prince Philip.
We love the Queen’s dedication to these adverts, so now we wonder what exciting marketing campaigns our new King will agree to be a part of!
