Welcome to Niamh!

New faces, new clients and now a new star! 2023 is shaping up to be a great year for us and we are excited to have welcomed Niamh Tracey as Account Executive this month.

Self-proclaimed creative Niamh joins us from an in-house marketing team in Nottingham where she worked predominantly in events management. So, let’s get to know her…

Can you tell us about yourself?

I like to think of myself as an artistic soul; from performing arts to copywriting, anything creative and fun sounds like a good time to me. I graduated with a dance degree in 2020 and I have performed since I was a child. After university, I taught in primary schools throughout Nottinghamshire and worked freelance as a dancer/teacher in various settings. Since deciding to jump into marketing, I have gained valuable experience and I am looking forward to a future in the industry. Joining Shooting Star has me excited to harness my creative streak and work with my team on upcoming projects.

Why marketing?

Marketing is the perfect fit for someone who wants to have a direct impact and see great results from their work. This is one of my favourite parts of my job. I can work collaboratively to generate exciting new ideas and more often than not, thinking outside of the box is encouraged. I love brainstorming and coming up with ways to challenge myself. You can always learn more in marketing and it is an ever-changing industry. Boredom isn’t a recurring theme!   

Why Shooting Star?

The small team makes for a supportive and comfortable work life and there’s always the chance for a good laugh throughout the day. We have a real variety of client accounts to work on which makes every day varied and interesting. This is even before the mention of breakfast and dogs in the office – what more can a girl ask for?

What are you looking forward to?

We have lots of projects to get stuck into and I am excited to learn from my team as well as having my own ideas and experience to add. I am also looking forward to visiting clients and building relationships with everyone involved.
