The Electric Bar & Restaurant’s 1st Birthday
The team from Shooting Star PR was delighted to be invited to the Electric Bar & Restaurant on Friday (1st March) to celebrate its first birthday.
The rooftop venue at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln was officially opened in March 2012 and has since become one of the city’s most popular nightspots.
Shooting Star PR was first employed by Brayford Hotels to manage the PR for the hotel launch while it was still being built and we’ve loved being involved with the project from the early stages.
On Friday night party guests were met by paparazzi-style photographers and flapper girls to coincide with the 1920s theme as they walked up a red carpet flanked by two rather expensive looking Ferraris.
Inside we were greeted with a glass of fizz and live music by pianist Adam Pond before being whisked up to the fifth floor in the glass lift where we were greeted by a throng of partygoers.
The fun didn’t stop there! As well as candyfloss and popcorn stands vocalist Portia Emare entertained the guests with her version of Empire State of Mind and When Love Takes Over. There was also plenty of food on offer including bowls of chilli, guacamole and nachos, smoked haddock chowder, Asian salad and deep fried noodles and fish and chips.If you haven’t already seen the photos on The Electric Bar & Restaurant’s Facebook page they’re well worth a look – if only to see the burlesque-style dancer in the giant Martini glass!
Based on the level of engagement on social media alone the party was a huge success and it has undoubtedly raised the venue’s profile and reputation as an outstanding social gathering place. Congratulations to the team at The Electric Bar & Restaurant who have literally raised the bar when it comes to going out in Lincoln.
