Meet Our Rising Stars
In 2010 we launched our Rising Stars trainee scheme in partnership with the University of Lincoln. Since then we’ve invited three undergraduates to work with us for a year as PR interns, and last week we interviewed for our next Rising Star who will join us in September.
We’re pleased to say that the quality of the candidates who came for interview was really high, and we had trouble making our final decision – so much so that, just like last year, we’ve decided to take on two interns this September instead of one.
Rosie Kelly is just finishing her first year studying English and journalism; she has already got lots of work experience under her belt at the Newcastle Journal, Bliss magazine, BBC Lincolnshire and the Lincolnshire Echo so she’s no stranger to the world of real-life journalism.
Kimberley Hampton, meanwhile, is a first-year PR and journalism student who is passionate about a career in PR. A student member of the CIPR who also contributes at student agency Cygnet PR, Kimberley hopes to work in international PR or public affairs when she graduates.
We’re looking forward to welcoming them both on board in September! JA
