Giving a Hand Up to the Next Gen of Creatives

Award-winning education and employability firm TG Consulting is driving a new initiative to help more young people gain essential skills and experience.

Launching in 2022, the Next Gen creative agency will provide paid work opportunities for young creatives, from those just starting out in college all the way through to university graduates, who are keen to work in the industry.

The agency will offer a range of services to SME’s and start-ups including graphic design, animation and photography.

Tonia Galati, Director of TG Consulting, said many young people struggle to get a foothold in the industry.

“I have worked with young creatives for a number of years, and this is an industry still saturated with unpaid internships,” explained Tonia.

“Students from low socio-economic backgrounds are unable to take up these internships for financial reasons, which means they face a huge barrier to getting the relevant experience to develop their careers in this space.”

To help get the initiative off the ground TG Consulting is looking for project partners.

“The agency is essentially a pool of freelance creatives from low socio-economic backgrounds, who need paid projects to build their portfolios and we need corporate businesses to sponsor the project or invest staff time or training to help develop the students’ skill set,” said Tonia.

“In return, partners can access a range of benefits including promotion of social mobility within their organisations and gain exposure to an SME network that in turn will enable future business opportunities.

“This is a project that is part of our mission to be an enabler for students who face barriers to employment.”

The Next Gen creative agency will be operational from 2022. For more information about becoming a partner please contact Tonia Galati at: Tonia@tgconsultingltd.co.uk or click here https://www.tgconsultingltd.co.uk/next-gen-creative.
